Dedication Service for the RAF Centenary Bench

The Dedication Service for the RAF Centenary Bench will take place on Saturday 21 September 2019 at 11:00 at Penistone Grammar School.  A Ceremonial Flagpole, funded by the Penistone Community, will also be erected for the event and handed over as a gift to the school.

As Principal of Penistone Grammar School, I feel very privileged and proud that the area of PGS war memorial has been chosen to situate the Royal Air Force Centenary Bench. It is an honour that the school has a link to the RAF which will inspire our students to accomplish and succeed.
All members of our community are very welcome to the event and to stay for refreshments afterwards.

Parent Survey 2016
As part of our parental engagement strategy, each year we offer the opportunity for all parents and carers to share their views with us through our annual Parent Survey.  We believe the relationship between home and school plays a key role in providing a truly excellent educational experience for our students; your opinions are vital to us when establishing our school improvement priorities.

Thank you to  parents who completed the survey … we beat last year’s total with 476 completed returns.

As well as publishing the results of the survey on our website we will also share the outcome with you in our January update letter.  In addition there will be a Parent Leadership Group Meeting to review the results in detail and discuss the key actions we intend implementing as a result of the survey.  The meeting will take place on 1 February 2017 from 18:00 to 20:00.   As with all our PLG meetings, attendance is open to every parent and carer.  You can register to attend via the following link:

We thank you again for your support and look forward to sharing the results with you.
