Please note school will be closed from Monday 26 October until Friday 30 October inclusive.
School re-opens to students on Monday 2 November 2020.
The Dedication Service for the RAF Centenary Bench will take place on Saturday 21 September 2019 at 11:00 at Penistone Grammar School. A Ceremonial Flagpole, funded by the Penistone Community, will also be erected for the event and handed over as a gift to the school.

Statutory Process for the Enlargement of Penistone Grammar School
A letter from Barnsley MBC has recently been emailed to parents/carers regarding the Statutory Process to enlarge Penistone Grammar School.
The proposal was to enlarge Penistone Grammar School from the current capacity of 1400 pupils to 1650 pupils with effect from September 2018 (implemented on a phased basis). This will mean an extra 50 places for the year 7 intake each year from 2018 onwards. Please click on the link below to download the Barnsley MBC letter.
National Funding Formula
At the end of last term the Government announced a reallocation from within the Education budget which freed up £1.3bn for schools. Earlier this term they announced the details of what the impact of this would be along with the New Funding Formula.

11-16 Mega Travel Pass
Young people under 16 years old can apply for a Mega Travel pass which entitles holders to the concessionary fare of 80p on bus and tram, and half fare on trains throughout South Yorkshire. No pass means you could pay full fare. To apply please visit travelsouthyorkshire.com/megatravel
16-18 Mega Travel Pass
Young people aged between 16 and 18 years old can apply for a 16-18 Travel Pass which entitles pass holders to the concessionary fare of 80p on bus and tram, and half fare on trains throughout South Yorkshire.
