The Children's Hospital Charity Fundraising 2020
Thank you to everyone who helped us to raise funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital during our Christmas appeal.
Our raffle raised £2167 for the hospital, an outstanding amount considering the difficult year we have all faced. The response from parents and the wider community was very positive, and we thank you all for making it such a success. To find out if you are one of the lucky winners, check out our prize draw with your host Mr Crook and his glamourous assistants, Mrs Booker and Mrs Smith!
A further £1907 was raised by the PGS Santa Dash 2020 – staff from Penistone Grammar School ran, walked and cycled the 14.1 mile dash, which represents the distance between the school and the Children’s Hospital. It was an amazing effort from all of our participants; thank you to all who took part and all who donated.
We also asked for donations of items to pack into hampers for staff at the hospital, ensuring they have plenty of tasty goodies to see them through the Christmas period. We filled 25 large hampers, which were beautifully packed and wrapped by our HeartSpace students, before being hand-delivered by Mr Gillett
The money raised through donations buys life-saving equipment, funds vital research and treatment for thousands of children from across the world and helps create a comfortable, engaging environment for patients at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Thank you to everyone who has helped us with our fundraising activities this Christmas, especially in light of the challenges we have all faced this year.
On behalf of Penistone Grammar School and the hospital we wish you a Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
